Scott W. MacDonald currently serves as the Chief of Police in Orleans, Massachusetts. The Orleans Police Department has been an accredited agency since 2007 at which time Chief MacDonald served as the department’s accreditation manager. Chief MacDonald has been in law enforcement for twenty-five years, starting his career in Newmarket, New Hampshire in 1991.

For the past 16 years, Chief MacDonald has served the community of Orleans, starting as a Patrolman in 1999 and ultimately being elevated to Chief in 2012. Chief MacDonald holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and has attended numerous professional development programs, including the 240 session of the FBI National Academy. Chief MacDonald resides with his wife and four daughters in the Town of Brewster.
