New Agency Tour Requirements for External Communication Centers

If an agency utilizes an external communications entity (such as a Regional Communications Center or another police agency), an onsite agency tour is required only once every three (3) years. If an assessment occurs during that period, the agency being assessed must have Chapter 81: Communication Form and corresponding proofs of compliance (such as photos and/or videos) completed and submitted by the supervisor of the communications center. These proofs of compliance must then be entered into the agency’s PowerStandards system as documentation of compliance.

The Accreditation Manager shall contact Bob Beaudry, Deputy Executive Director, or Fred Rentschler, Assessment Compliance Manager, to determine whether the communication center requires an onsite agency tour.

The Chapter 81: Communication Form can found in MPAC Resources>Program Resources.
