The Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission would like to introduce Bob Beaudry, MPAC’s new Deputy Executive Director.
Before joining MPAC, he served as Project Manager for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), designing and delivering training programs in road safety to police and civilian traffic agents in low-and-middle income countries in Asia and South America.
He served as the Training, Accreditation, and Hiring Manager for the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety in Charleston, South Carolina. Responsibilities included rewriting and organizing a standard-compliant set of General Orders, and guiding the agency through the initial accreditation process with CALEA and IACLEA in 2011 and 2012, respectively, as well as two subsequent reaccreditation processes in 2014 and 2017.
Prior to that, he worked for the Smithfield Police Department for 25 years, beginning in 1986, and retiring as a Captain in 2011, overseeing the CALEA Accreditation process. During his career, he served the department in many capacities including patrol officer, detective/investigator, traffic sergeant, patrol lieutenant, detective commander, and captain.
Deputy Director Beaudry has an associate’s degree from Roger Williams University in Administration of Justice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology in 2000 from the same University. He has also completed the FBI-LEEDA (Law Enforcement Executive Development Association) course for command level officers. Director Beaudry has served as an assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), reviewing and assessing agencies for compliance with best practices and accreditation standards and has worked with the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC) for several years.
