The Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission welcomes Bill Pinkes, MPAC’s newest Assessment Team Facilitator.
Before joining MPAC, he served as a Captain with the Massachusetts State Police retiring in 2018. During his 27-year career, Bill served in all divisions within the department including Field Services, Administrative Services, Investigative Services, Homeland Security, and Standards & Training.
After retirement, he returned to the department to assist with, and formally establish, an Accreditation program. Serving as the Accreditation Manager, he transitioned the Department to the PowerDMS platform, streamlining the policy management and accreditation compliance processes. Bill developed a program that grew to include representatives from all divisions culminating in the department achieving its first ever Certification in January of 2022 transitioning to full Accreditation status in December of the same year.
He has also served MPAC in the role of Assessor for the past three years reviewing and assessing agencies for compliance with best practices and accreditation standards.
